Business Development Specialist

The Member Relationship Advisor will be responsible for delivering a distinctive member experience by establishing rapport and trust with our members. This involves identifying their financial needs and goals through a comprehensive review process, referring to business line partners as needed, and managing the relationship beyond the initial new account opening.

Signal Financial is a progressive and growing credit union with over 24,000 members and more than $400 million in assets. We are committed to building a new way of banking for our current and future members in the Washington Metro area.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete new member financial reviews, following the D.R.S.W. conversation model.
- Answer questions about products and services, resolve problems within authority, and refer complex issues to supervisors.
- S Support branch managers and facilitate offsite presentations to SEGs (Select Employer Groups).
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and make product recommendations as needed.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation, adhering to the Credit Union's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A high school education or GED, with a college degree preferred.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, required.
- Prior experience in a Financial Services Company or Credit Union, preferred.
- The flexibility to travel to multiple branches throughout the DC metropolitan area.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation and communication.
Compensation
Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
