About the Role:

A Manufacturing Engineer at ADVICS Manufacturing Ohio, Inc. plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of new products and processes. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the introduction of new products and processes, including the creation and improvement of manufacturing instructions, process failure mode effect analysis, and cost estimate requests.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing cost estimates and supporting data for new or improved processes, including operation sequences, standard labor hours, and packaging requirements.
  • Train team members on new or improved processes as needed and ensure the safety of equipment and processes to prevent injury or illness.
  • Serve as a liaison between design engineering, quality, manufacturing, and maintenance departments, as well as outside suppliers and customers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to schedule, evaluate, and justify budget within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Participate in improvement activities, such as quality control and value engineering, and stay up-to-date on new technology within the engineering field.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting support to improve or maintain production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Computer-aided design (CAD) proficiency, preferably with AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and CNC programming.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures, and to effectively present information to managers, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
