Position Summary

The Cashier plays a vital role in the retail environment by managing the cash register and ensuring a smooth transaction process for customers. This position also supports various store operations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers warmly as they enter the store.
  • Assist customers in locating products and addressing inquiries.
  • Handle all cash register functions efficiently.
  • Package purchased items appropriately.
  • Provide assistance to customers carrying their purchases to their vehicles when needed.
  • Conduct cash drawer counts at the start and end of each shift, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Organize stock in designated display areas and remove expired items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of display areas, including special setups and merchandise fixtures.
  • Monitor fitting rooms and restrooms for cleanliness and security.
  • Be vigilant against theft and suspicious activities.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and direct calls as needed.
  • Perform cleaning duties throughout the store as directed by management.
  • Propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and training materials.
