The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Our Annuity Associates provide an exceptional customer experience to our distribution partners—agents or agencies—by ensuring that life insurance applications are handled with efficiency, precision, and a genuine sense of care that instills confidence in our clients. In addition to evaluating fundamental life insurance risks, you will empower our clients by delivering information, assisting in resolving application challenges, and collaborating with the team to maximize our collective potential and achieve outstanding results.

A typical day involves the Underwriting Assistant / Case Manager evaluating medical, non-medical, and financial risk elements and determining suitable ratings for life applications, managing applications through workflow systems, working collaboratively within a team, and effectively communicating with agents/agencies via phone, email, and CRM. You will serve as the primary point of contact with the producing agent(s)/agency throughout the entire application process.

We encourage and provide opportunities for both professional and personal development while managing your daily responsibilities through various courses and seminars offered by our dedicated NL University. Furthermore, you will be part of a close-knit, dynamic work-family striving towards our annual objectives and fostering growth for yourself and your colleagues—all for a shared purpose.

Successful Candidates We're Seeking

You possess 2+ years of professional experience engaging with customers in the life insurance and/or annuity sectors. You are enthusiastic about contributing to a company with a mission-driven culture. A college degree is not mandatory, but it is preferred; ultimately, we value high-quality skills, experience, and a positive attitude as much as formal education. You must be able to successfully pass a background check that may include fingerprinting.

The Skills to Succeed

You are detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You are an excellent communicator, demonstrating empathy and strong listening abilities. You are results-driven, excel in interpersonal relations, and are willing to take the lead. You are an intuitive problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively to provide effective solutions. You take pleasure in delivering exceptional service to customers. You exercise sound judgment and independent thinking in decision-making while balancing the need for teamwork. You have a talent for identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness and are open to continuous improvement and change.
