Position Overview

Utilize your keen attention to detail as an Environmental Customer Support Specialist with a leading organization in environmental and regulated waste management.

As a vital member of our customer experience team, you will take the initiative to coordinate waste disposal requirements in accordance with service agreements. You will provide essential support to clients, internal operations, finance, logistics, and field personnel to ensure an exceptional level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming inquiries from clients and community members.
  • Reach out to customers who have not received service recently and document interactions.
  • Process orders for pickups and deliveries, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Manage account setups for new clients in our systems.
  • Prepare quotes and pricing agreements for both existing and new clients.
  • Provide information to prospective leads and direct them to appropriate management.
  • Maintain and update waste profiles in our profiling software.
  • Prepare labels for shipments related to recycling orders.
  • Collaborate with accounts receivable teams regarding outstanding invoices and process payments.
  • Handle requests for Certificates of Insurance for current and prospective clients.
  • Assist sales representatives with necessary information for their accounts.
  • Generate tonnage reports for current clients.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations with unscheduled deliveries.
  • Assist the billing team with updates on current orders.
  • Facilitate transportation logistics for customer pickups.
  • Provide training and support to new customer service representatives.
  • Offer assistance to other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service environment.
  • Strong customer service and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM systems or web-based applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle systems.
  • Capability to lead projects specific to client accounts.
