About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Clean Earth. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of hazardous waste and recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Waste Management: Handle hazardous waste, including identification, labeling, storage, and management in accordance with all regulations and internal safety requirements.
  • Recycling Operations: Handle waste batteries, and electronics for recycling, including identification, labeling, sorting, and storage.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Unload trucks, stage equipment for processing, and maintain cleanliness of equipment and overall housekeeping in and around the facility.
  • Inventory Management: Inventory incoming material and assist with customer deliveries/pickups.
  • Compliance and Safety: Assure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, and perform work safely, in accordance with all company policies and procedures to prevent injury.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Good mechanical ability required, must be able to read/write and understand English.
  • Working Conditions: Medium to heavy working conditions, lifting 50 pounds minimum on regular basis, work with various materials with varying safety requirements.
