Job Overview

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process and apply cash receipts from various sources, both physical and electronic.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with customers to ensure accurate handling.
  • Manage Lien and Notice Reports – Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly reports to relevant stakeholders, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Review Accounts Receivable aging reports and conduct follow-up calls as necessary, documenting interactions in the ERP system.
  • Handle waiver requests to facilitate timely customer payments.
  • Process credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams across locations to address and resolve billing inquiries.
  • Respond to customer email requests for documentation, including invoices, work orders, W-9 forms, and signed contracts.
  • Conduct research on customer payments and resolve cash application discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an office environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to learning and assisting other departments.
