Position Summary: We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our expanding team. The successful candidate will oversee financial documentation, ensure adherence to industry regulations, and assist the Controller with monthly closings, generating precise financial reports, and conducting audits. This position is essential for maintaining the fiscal integrity of our organization and fostering our growth.

Key Duties:

  • Financial Analysis: Generate and evaluate financial statements and reports to guarantee precision and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ledger Oversight: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Remain informed about relevant changes in laws and accounting standards.
  • Budget Development: Aid in crafting budgets, financial forecasts, and business strategies. Monitor spending and pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
  • Audit Preparation: Compile documentation and reports for both internal and external audits. Address any discrepancies or issues identified during the audit process.
  • Inventory Financials: Supervise the financial components of inventory management, including cost assessments, valuation, and reconciliation.
  • Tax Compliance: Review sales tax filings and ensure adherence to all tax regulations and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in retail, manufacturing, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, particularly NetSuite, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
