POSITION OVERVIEW


As a Senior Systems Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the Data & Devices Business Unit, focusing on compute, storage, artificial intelligence, and networking sectors. Your expertise will be essential in interfacing with clients to comprehend their system functionalities and evolving technological requirements.

The Data and Devices Business Unit is central to the rapidly changing landscape of data communications applications. We are committed to providing agile and responsive capabilities to meet contemporary demands, enabling our customers to build the devices and infrastructure that redefine information technology.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


In this role, you will:

  • Engage with key OEMs and other clients to identify their needs.
  • Spot potential technological disruptors, leveraging your expertise across various technologies.
  • Integrate customer insights with industry knowledge to shape the vision for technology and product trends.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to proactively invest in new technologies and products that align with the next generation of customer needs.
  • Collaborate within a geographically dispersed systems architecture team to share expertise and best practices.
  • Manage technical cooperation with clients and coordinate with TE's internal development teams to ensure technical feasibility.

QUALIFICATIONS


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an Associate's degree with relevant engineering experience. A dual degree in business or an MBA is advantageous.
  • Over 8 years of experience in system design within the computer and/or networking industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware and signaling environments, with technical expertise in high-speed engineering and design.
  • Familiarity with computer, networking, AI/ML, and storage architectures.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to build relationships with external clients and industry leaders.
  • A willingness to travel 25%-30% of the time.
