Role Purpose:

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming reporting and monitoring processes through the utilization of Splunk capabilities, enhancing visibility and usability. As a Lead Information Systems Architect, you will engage in all necessary tasks to ensure application availability, responsiveness, and fulfillment of functional requirements. Your focus will be on identifying and executing improvements to application maintainability, availability, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requirements and propose solutions utilizing Splunk frameworks.
  • Design and develop Splunk reports, dashboards, alerts, and applications.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate Splunk deployments and configuration management.
  • Administer and maintain multi-site Splunk environments.
  • Manage Splunk user roles and permissions on a large scale.
  • Develop solutions with proof of concepts and use cases for various business scenarios.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users as needed.
  • Execute deployments of Splunk configurations to facilitate data onboarding and maintenance activities.
  • Create and maintain configuration documentation for all assigned systems using Enterprise Architect and Visio.
  • Complete tasks in a work request queue promptly.
  • Participate in on-call support for 24/7 production environments and after-hours support as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in troubleshooting Splunk applications, including web, client-server, and database components, with a strong emphasis on identifying networking issues.
  • Extensive experience in Splunk administration.
  • Strong background in Solaris and Linux administration, along with shell scripting.
  • Expertise in SPL and report/dashboard creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to new skills quickly.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Dynamic and positive attitude with a strong focus on quality deliverables.
  • Experience in SQL development, including writing SQL, PLSQL, and proficiency with MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, and Oracle database servers.
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, and Perl development.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and CSS.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methods and automation tools.
  • Experience in the wireless, telecommunications, or internet industries is advantageous.
  • Cloud experience, particularly with AWS, is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience directly supporting distributed applications in a UNIX environment.
