Position Overview

Care New England is actively seeking a dedicated early-stage physician-investigator (Instructor or Assistant Professor) to enhance our neonatology division at Women & Infants Hospital, recognized as one of the leading academic institutions for women and infants in the nation. This board-eligible or board-certified neonatologist is expected to pursue NIH funding or equivalent grants (e.g., K, R, PCORI awards) and engage in research that aligns with the extensive clinical, translational, and basic research initiatives at our institute.

Research Focus Areas

The primary research interests include:

  • Maternal and child nutrition
  • Lactation and milk composition
  • Neonatal neurobehavior
  • Follow-up and development of neonates
  • Global health and health equity
  • Biomarker discovery and assay development
  • Maternal mental health

The selected faculty member will receive dedicated research time of approximately 10 weeks of service per year, with compensation aligned with academic rank.
