The Medical Technologist II/Technician III performs routine and specialized tests according to written protocols to determine test results that will assist in diagnosing and treating patients.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized tests according to written protocols to determine test results.
- Assist in diagnosing and treating patients by providing accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques.
- Bachelor's Degree in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a twelve-month clinical laboratory training program approved by the U.S. Department of Education and/or accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or equivalent.
- Completion of a nationally recognized certification examination for clinical laboratory scientists, such as that offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in the English language required.
