Role SummaryThe Vice President of Technology Operations and Incident Response is crucial to the efficiency of Wedbush's operational framework and client service delivery. This role encompasses strategic oversight, ongoing enhancements, and the management of daily technology-related incidents. The VP will lead a dedicated team in addressing technology disruptions that affect various business functions and will be responsible for both internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the complete incident management lifecycle, from detection to resolution and subsequent analysis.
- Assess and categorize incidents based on their severity and potential impact on business activities.
- Collaborate with internal IT departments and external partners to ensure swift incident resolution.
- Keep all stakeholders updated with regular communications regarding incident status and resolution efforts.
- Implement and manage incident management tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analyses for significant incidents and develop preventive strategies to reduce future occurrences.
- Revise and maintain incident management policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide support and expertise to IT teams during incident response efforts.
- Analyze incident trends to identify areas for process improvement.
- Work in conjunction with other IT service management functions, such as problem and change management, to ensure cohesive operations.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in IT incident management or a similar role within the IT and financial services industries.
- A comprehensive understanding of ITIL incident management protocols and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in incident management software and systems.
- Familiarity with service management frameworks, particularly ITIL.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
