Main Sail LLC is seeking talented Governance Analysts to support the Department of the Navy's Financial Management Transformation. This critical initiative encompasses a wide range of areas, including audit, budgetary reform, IT system consolidation, and policy development, all aligned with the Secretary of the Navy's strategic vision.

As a Governance Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in governance and requirements management to provide specialized functional or technical support within operations and transformation services. Your responsibilities will involve conducting in-depth analyses of metrics, performance indicators, requirements, reports, and recommendations. You'll utilize advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret results and contribute to the development of strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the establishment, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of governance processes related to financial management systems, policies, and data. This includes assisting OASN (FM&C) leadership in achieving greater transparency, visibility, and communication.
  • Utilize Advana/Jupiter as the central source of truth to enhance transparency and proactively manage the DON's budget execution.
  • Contribute to the implementation of standardized data structures and data governance practices that align with Treasury standards.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Possess one of the following levels of experience supporting or sustaining governance activities related to financial management systems, policies, or data:
    • Level I: 1 year of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level II: 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level III: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
    • Level IV: 9 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with the DoD's Advana data platform is essential. Experience with the Navy's enclave (Jupiter) is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Treasury data governance and data standards.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate/collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with Navy ERP and/or DAI financial modules is highly desirable.
