Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing and Group Sales Manager to join our team at Oak View Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting concerts, sporting events, and family shows at the Tyson Events Center / Fleet Farm Arena and Orpheum Theatre, while developing creative marketing campaigns to increase public awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing and group ticket sales campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure.
  • Work closely with promoters to ensure successful events and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze challenges and identify alternative solutions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Plan and negotiate advertising mediums to promote events.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the website, including updating events, design, and implementation of promotional concepts.
  • Oversee and manage the email subscriber database to increase ticket sales.
  • Develop and implement ticket sales-driven promotions on social media platforms.
  • Pitch creative stories and marketing strategies to local media and outlying markets.
  • Assist in managing grassroots efforts, including poster and flyer distribution, community appearances, and marketing campaigns.
  • Design promotional materials, such as flyers and posters, for select events.
  • Help prospect, cultivate, and service premium seating clients for all arena events.
  • Solicit new group sales business through cold calls, networking, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all media outlets.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site events, such as pre-show parties, as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or better in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of prior marketing experience, preferably in Sports and Entertainment.
  • Knowledge of media buying and promotions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Assertive, outgoing, hard-working, resourceful, and an independent thinker.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as job duties may require non-traditional hours.
