You will oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and forecasting activities, leveraging your extensive knowledge and professional judgment to drive success. This position requires a strong IT background with a specialization in the Broker Dealer sector, emphasizing client service and compliance with regulatory standards. Proficiency in all facets of Virtual Machines and Storage systems is vital.

Key Responsibilities

Virtualization:
- Design, install, configure, and deploy virtual servers, desktops, and appliances to support employee and business operations.
- Utilize VMware vSphere/vCenter and the VMware suite to meet virtualization requirements and capitalize on the benefits of a virtualized data center.
- Implement VMware hypervisor and Citrix Xendesktop to provide virtual desktop solutions.
- Manage application delivery through Citrix XenApp to meet organizational needs.
- Facilitate gateway access for Equity and Fixed Income clients via Citrix Netscaler.

Storage Management:

- Design, configure, and support diverse storage solutions, with a focus on NetApp NAS deployment and Cisco fiber channel infrastructure.

- Set up new storage arrays and allocate volumes/LUNs for the virtualization environment and cluster services.
- Implement SnapVault and SnapMirror for data security, replication, and backup.
- Configure Cisco MDS and Nexus fabric for FC & ISCSI storage infrastructure.
- Optimize storage aggregates and allocate space to meet deployment needs while anticipating future requirements.

Data Backup and Recovery:
- Establish and maintain backup solutions, selecting and configuring appropriate software, hardware, or cloud services.
- Develop backup schedules and retention policies.
- Monitor backup operations to ensure effectiveness.
- Conduct periodic tests of backups to confirm data recoverability.
- Address and resolve any backup-related issues.
- Provide training and support for users on data restoration processes.
