Overview:

The Technology Center Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of a technology center, which may encompass areas such as research, manufacturing, engineering, or digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Supervise the month-end closing process and ensure robust controls through collaboration with local finance teams.
  • Guarantee adherence to revenue recognition standards.
  • Prepare and present month-end financial reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct new product development reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets (BS) for the center.
  • Oversee daily operations of the finance team.
  • Facilitate and present quarterly rolling forecasts and annual budgets, covering revenue, inventory, workforce, and capital expenditures.
  • Prepare monthly financial metrics and reports.
  • Compile annual financial plans for corporate reporting.
  • Ensure system integrity in financial transactions through SAP oversight.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate and local financial procedures.
  • Review and validate balance sheet submissions from various hubs.
  • Conduct quarterly control checklist reviews.
  • Update and manage financial reports and dashboards as necessary.
Cost Management and Inventory Oversight:
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels.
  • Conduct annual reviews and updates of inventory standard costs.
  • Approve inventory counts and manage compliance with write-off policies.
  • Prepare and review certified costing for significant government contracts.
Additional Duties:
  • Support audit processes and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee annual property tax submissions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
  • Participate in management meetings and provide financial insights.
  • Review and approve capital expenditure projects.
  • Analyze accounts receivable and optimize cash flow.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of deferred revenue.
  • Travel periodically to provide support at other locations.
  • Conduct lease analyses and reviews.
  • Verify and approve sales commission calculations.
  • Prepare and review quarterly royalty reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance; a master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management and cost accounting within manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
