Senior Relationship Manager

At National Life Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Retirement Services division, you will play a critical role in directing the development and management of 403(b)/457 relationships with school districts and government administration, Third-party administrators, and field associates within specific areas and regions.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing National Life Group 403(b)/457(b) Employer Plans, providing exceptional service and support to policyholders.
- Develop and deepen relationships with school districts and government organizations to increase annualized annuity sales and assist in obtaining new 403(b)/457(b) plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regional Vice Presidents, sales representatives, senior management, and home office employees, agents, and agencies to ensure seamless participant service delivery.
- Manage a region by overseeing full-service administration, recordkeeping, participant services, and consulting for a case load of 403(b), 457(b), and other defined contribution plans.
- Develop and deliver communications and presentation strategies to successfully deliver information to the intended audience.
- Maintain strong relationships with key personnel in the Qualified/Non-qualified annuity flow marketplace, including plan administrators, employers, school district management, administrative support staff, and educational support organizations.
- Work with the team to develop specific marketing strategies that effectively increase market penetration by educating and branding NLG in correlation with specific demographic characteristics.
- Provide ongoing communication to internal and external teams to ensure situational awareness and management.
- Monitor territory and team progress towards meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, inspiring increased production results.
- Identify and manage critical relationships within the territory.
- Assist in new relationships with school districts to open new access/plans and increase productivity for NLG.
- 5-10 years of experience in 403(b)/457(b), annuity, financial services, or employee benefits at a school district or municipality.
- Prior experience as a school administrator or 403(b)/457(b) consultant/Third Party Administrator (TPA)/Service Provider.
- Existing relationships with Third Party Administrators, senior school officials, and/or key state officials are strongly considered.
- 10+ years of experience in client-facing roles.
- Relationship management experience is strongly desired.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or experience in lieu of degree.
- Series 66 or 6 & 63 preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Deep understanding of market conditions and drivers affecting retirement business.
- Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and act with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
