Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Generalist to join our team in the construction industry. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can provide HR consultation to managers, manage onboarding processes, and develop talent management strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR consultation to managers on employee relations issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive initial experience.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies that meet our company's business needs and drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution sessions between employees and management, ensuring all parties reach a satisfactory outcome.
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits, ensuring our offerings are competitive and in line with industry standards.
  • Utilize Paylocity to manage HR processes, including payroll, timekeeping, and performance management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, compliant, and effectively communicated to all employees.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on strategic initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, employee development, and workforce planning.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience with Paylocity, Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Compensation & Benefits.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.
