Job Summary:

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for both internal and external use. This includes ensuring all filings, reports, and supporting schedules comply with Company regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply GAAP for transactions and formally document the Company's basis, citing appropriate guidance.
  • Maintain current understanding of recent pronouncements potentially impacting the Company and communicate updates routinely.
  • Leverage reporting tools (i.e., systems, Excel) to perform analyses for management and emphasize areas for attention.
  • Manage a team of professionals throughout the reporting process and review work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and approve journal entries on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure internal controls have been appropriately developed and are monitored in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
  • Maintain effective communication and work with external auditors to ensure timely delivery of complete and accurate information.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 6 years of relevant experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required upon start
