MicroStrategy Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, technical accounting research, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including Forms 10-Q/K, 8-K, and Proxy statements.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and provide recommendations to the Controllership.
  • Stay up-to-date with existing and emerging financial accounting and reporting principles.
  • Review and analyze new and complex technical accounting issues.
  • Support accounting and reporting for share-based compensation, earnings per share, segment reporting, debt and equity transactions, crypto assets, non-GAAP reporting, lease accounting, and ESG.
  • Proactively work with external auditors and advisors on key accounting and reporting issues.
  • Coordinate and partner with internal and external groups to facilitate SEC filings and technical accounting issues.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a Financial Reporting role for a public company.
  • Prior Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • BS Accounting degree required.
  • MS Office proficiency required, with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience working with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research software.
  • Knowledge of SEC rules and requirements.
  • Experience with XBRL tagging and use of SEC filing software.
  • Strong technical accounting writing and research skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with analytic comprehension.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
