POSITION SUMMARY: KEMRON is in search of a dedicated professional to assist project teams involved in environmental assessment and remediation initiatives. This role supports project activities across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess 0-3 years of relevant experience, including hands-on involvement in geological and hydrogeological assessments conducted in compliance with federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Applicants for this role must be prepared to undertake the following responsibilities in a dynamic consulting environment:

  • Fieldwork and travel are essential. Candidates must be capable of working outdoors under varying conditions, which includes lifting equipment, traversing challenging terrains, and enduring inclement weather.
  • Assist in identifying technical and regulatory requirements to fulfill state and federal mandates while achieving project goals, including the planning and execution of remedial actions.
  • Support interdisciplinary project teams in delivering accurate and compliant field data collection.
  • Exhibit strong technical writing abilities to prepare and finalize planning documents and reports.
  • Interpret data and apply findings to inform regulatory and technical solutions.
  • Engage directly with project managers to discuss project challenges, progress, and overall performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors on project sites.
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
  • GIT certification or progression towards PG is preferred.

NECESSARY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related geological science discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, including fieldwork.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Effective verbal communication and technical presentation abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with a willingness to lead tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Readiness to work beyond standard hours when necessary for project success.
  • Experience in drilling, well installation, and soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Familiarity with field data collection practices.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must successfully pass a drug test, undergo a potential background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record as per the Company's driving policy.
  • A valid, current Driver's License is required.
  • OSHA 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher is preferred.

WORK CONTEXT/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Fieldwork may involve exposure to adverse weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Field activities may necessitate the use of Level B Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, navigate uneven terrain, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing is required during fieldwork (with breaks).
  • Capability to operate large pickup trucks.
  • Manual dexterity to handle field equipment.
  • Normal vision and hearing capabilities are necessary.
  • Must complete and pass a medical monitoring physical exam demonstrating the ability to meet job requirements, including the capacity to wear a respirator when needed.
  • Annual employment physical completion is required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from State and Federal technical guidance and regulations.
  • Must be able to comprehend and adhere to KEMRON's Standard Operating Procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Occasional extended periods of computer work may be required.
