Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Operations Manager – Powders will provide leadership and guidance for the Calvert City Powders facility to meet established strategic goals in alignment with the Powders business strategy.

Key responsibilities include ensuring employee safety, adhering to environmental regulations, maintaining product quality, optimizing plant cost efficiency, managing capacity utilization, overseeing inventory, resource allocation, site services, employee supervision, and union relations.

Every employee is expected to understand and diligently follow our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Security policies.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards; 20%.
Deliver managerial leadership and direction for the facility to achieve business and supply chain objectives; 20%.

Oversee employee supervision and union relations within the Powders facility - Establish performance expectations and hold staff accountable; 20%.

Manage supply chain operations for CTY Powders.

Responsible for inventory management of finished goods and raw materials, maintaining product formulations, Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) capacity, safety stock levels, and scaling up new products; 20%.

Coordinate maintenance and capital project activities within the Powders facility. Prioritize projects to align with business and supply chain goals; 10%.
Provide support for daily production planning, scheduling, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning; 10%.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in a technical or engineering discipline.
5+ years of relevant experience is required. Experience supervising unionized employees and/or in supply chain, scheduling, and logistics is preferred.
Experience in inventory management.
Familiarity with chemical processes in a manufacturing context.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
Proficiency in computer applications – SAP, MS Office, process control systems – D/3.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
