We are seeking a skilled Mechanic II to join our Distribution & Transportation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance on equipment, ensuring that all work is done safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine repairs and maintenance on equipment, including performing quality work in a safe fashion and understanding all safety rules for the task being performed.
- Computer Maintenance System: Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout the work shift and use the system to look into repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment.
- System Shutdown: Safely shut down systems that have been trained on.
- Task Completion: Perform simple tasks without instruction or guidance.
- Equipment Standards: Ensure that all equipment meets standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional Development: The expectation is that all Mechanic II roles can progress to Mechanic III through education and/or demonstrated ability.
- Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude: Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, including schematic/blueprint reading.
- Dexterity: Have dexterity with both hands.
- Problem-Solving: Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Flexibility: Be willing to work flexible hours/on call.
- Tool Ownership: Mechanics are required to supply their own tools.
- Physical Demands: Perform work in difficult body positions and environmental conditions from time-to-time.
- Prior Experience: Prior experience in mechanical areas is desired.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent diploma.
