- Communication: Effectively communicate with hospital staff, Sterile Processing Department technicians, and Operating Room technicians to coordinate equipment transport and ensure seamless operations.
- Equipment Handling: Handle and transport bio-hazardous equipment safely, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery van, scheduling regular service and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, responding to changing equipment needs and priorities.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record, free of major violations such as DWI and speeding.
- Safe Handling Practices: Demonstrate a general knowledge of safe handling practices when picking up, transporting, and physically handling bio-hazardous equipment.
- English Language Proficiency: Possess excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills in English to effectively communicate with hospital staff and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate flexibility and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires the ability to drive and sit for extended periods, as well as lift and carry tote bins weighing up to 50 pounds. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to changing equipment needs and priorities.
