Clinical Nurse Specialist

This role involves working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, under the guidance of clinic providers and the practice management team. The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a vital role in the nursing process, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational directors to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population across various age groups and backgrounds.
- Adhering to established policies, practice guidelines, and nursing standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting in the training and professional development of clinical team members, including Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Facilitating team development and mentoring office staff.
Required Skills:
- Proficient clinical nursing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to effectively engage with patients to promote a safe and positive experience.
- Competence in measuring and documenting patient vitals.
- Experience in obtaining comprehensive medical histories.
- Knowledge of patient triage processes.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients and provide educational support.
- Skills in performing health assessments and delivering preventative education.
- Preparation of patients for various visits and procedures.
- Effective communication of patient health status to healthcare providers.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patients and colleagues.
- Experience in medication administration and patient inquiries.
- Ability to manage challenging patient interactions with professionalism.
- Competence in administering immunizations and conducting point-of-care testing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- BLS Certification.
