This role involves working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Clinical Nurse Specialist operates under the guidance of clinic providers and the practice management team. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will engage in the nursing process in collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for a diverse patient population, ensuring quality care across all age groups and backgrounds. Your duties will include:
- Participating in the training and development of new and existing clinical staff, including Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Mentoring office personnel to foster team growth and development.
- Maintaining compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Providing health assessments and preventative education to patients.
- Administering medications and performing necessary clinical procedures.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient clinical nursing skills with a strong emphasis on patient interaction.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Ability to accurately document and monitor patient vitals and medical histories.
- Knowledge of triaging patients effectively.
- Experience in managing patient inquiries and providing support.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current RN License is required.
- BLS Certification is mandatory.
