Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, under the guidance of clinic providers and management. This role is integral to the nursing process, collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and operational directors.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population across all age groups and backgrounds.
- Adhering to established policies, guidelines, and nursing standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitating the training and professional growth of new and existing clinical staff, including Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Mentoring team members to enhance overall team performance.
Required Skills:
- Proficient clinical nursing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to engage with patients effectively, ensuring a safe and positive experience.
- Competence in measuring and documenting patient vitals.
- Skill in obtaining comprehensive medical histories.
- Knowledge of patient triage processes.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients and provide education on health matters.
- Experience in performing health assessments and delivering preventative care education.
- Preparation of patients for various medical visits and procedures.
- Effective communication of patient health status to healthcare providers.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patients and colleagues.
- Knowledge of medication administration and clinical inquiries.
- Ability to manage challenging patient interactions with professionalism.
- Experience in administering immunizations and conducting point-of-care testing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS Certification.
