Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computer Systems Specialist to join our team at Wood Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our field systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field level risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct calibration checks of field instrumentation, stroke tests of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves, loop-checks and troubleshooting, and fiber optic panels wiring against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required.
  • Verify the performance of interlocks, alarms, and controls, and inspect installations against design documentation.
  • Use calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test, and diagnose faults.
  • Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3+ years of field operations experience in the oil/gas industry
  • SCADA & PLC knowledge/experience preferred
  • Ability/willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • I&E maintenance and project experience
  • Able to read P&IDs, ISOs, Plot Plans, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive working knowledge of field operations, construction operations
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, Word, Access, Excel, etc.
