About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to collaborate with our control system engineer in optimizing and maintaining our systems.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of programming concepts and be proficient in computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the control system engineer to ensure efficient operation of control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and associated components.
  • Work with various electronic devices and systems, including photo eyes, sensors, cameras, VFDs, and SCADA systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Utilize tools such as multimeters, torque wrenches, and tachometers to assist in diagnostics and repairs.
  • Understand energy flows within the system and contribute to energy efficiency efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer literacy.
  • Strong understanding of Ethernet communications and Cat 6 cabling.
  • Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V, including both AC and DC circuits.
  • Familiarity with PLC fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot PLC systems.
  • Practical experience with electronic devices and their applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical).
  • Knowledge and experience using multimeters, torque wrenches, and tachometers.
  • A solid understanding of energy flows and systems.
