Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to provide expert support to the Joint Staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, with experience working with senior leaders and navigating complex political environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying communication innovations and improving messaging synchronization and collaboration
  • Provide expert advice on public media best practices to senior officers on the Joint Staff
  • Work with the Joint Staff to navigate political sensitivities and provide strategic support for congressional engagements
  • Develop and deliver testimony prep materials, including event-driven topics and strategic coordination
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience providing communications support to sensitive and high-profile programs and topics, preferably with DoD
  • TS/SCI required
