Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to provide expert support to the Joint Staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, with experience working with senior leaders and navigating complex political environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying communication innovations and improving messaging synchronization and collaboration
- Provide expert advice on public media best practices to senior officers on the Joint Staff
- Work with the Joint Staff to navigate political sensitivities and provide strategic support for congressional engagements
- Develop and deliver testimony prep materials, including event-driven topics and strategic coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience providing communications support to sensitive and high-profile programs and topics, preferably with DoD
- TS/SCI required
