Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Fitness Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Pebble Beach Resorts. As a Fitness Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience in our fitness area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check guests and members into the facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Make verbal sales presentations, providing basic information on club services and promoting our amenities.
  • Stock linens and monitor linen supply to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Explain and remind guests of club policies and procedures, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
  • Replenish supplies in the lobby and locker room, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Replenish items at the juice bar, including coffee from STICKS kitchen, to ensure a convenient and enjoyable experience for our guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the facility, including the pool terrace, locker rooms, juice bar, and fitness room.
  • Upsell Spa appointments and maintain massage appointments for two rooms at the Club.
  • Set up for special events, including moving furniture and other heavy objects, to ensure a successful and memorable experience.
  • Notify the Engineering Department of any needed repairs and maintenance, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
  • Complete daily cleaning of the men's steam room between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Pick up and deliver department mail in the mail room.
  • Transact sales using the cash register and SMS system, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Keep the retail area organized, dusted, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Remove and replace the pool cover, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Log in lost items and take them to the lost and found in Housekeeping.
  • Answer the telephone and take messages, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain organization and necessary supplies at the front desk.
  • Tally and record sales from the SMS report and send it to the night auditor (PM only).
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional telephone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some knowledge or personal experience with fitness.
