Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Operations Manager to lead our Finance Department's daily functions. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily activities of the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger management, payroll processing, and tax obligations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of general ledger activities to guarantee accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and interpret monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, contributing to their professional development and the recruitment of skilled accounting personnel.
  • Oversee treasury functions, ensuring the maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts and cash forecasting.
  • Ensure timely compliance with state and local tax requirements and assist in the preparation of annual tax filings.
  • Evaluate and implement effective accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Conduct financial analyses to support capital planning, pricing strategies, and vendor negotiations.
  • Deliver critical financial insights to management to facilitate informed decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail accounting is advantageous.
  • Proficient in accounting software and tools, including QuickBooks and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting processes is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences including executives and operational staff.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
