Bartlett Wealth Management oversees an impressive portfolio exceeding $8 billion in assets, operating across multiple locations with a dedicated team of 83 professionals. Our approach to wealth management emphasizes collaboration to deliver tailored investment management and financial planning services to our clientele.

Role Summary

The Wealth Management Internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in financial planning and investment activities, contributing to various essential tasks and projects. Interns will work closely with seasoned financial planning and investment management experts, gaining insights into both the operational and client-facing aspects of the wealth management sector. Ideal candidates will possess a keen interest in pursuing a career within the investment advisory and wealth management field.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Tasks:

  • Collaborate with financial planners to evaluate client financial situations and input relevant data into financial software.
  • Organize and summarize client living expense information.
  • Assist with software support and account connectivity.
  • Monitor team members' completion rates and provide analytical insights.
  • Support tracking of Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) and Inherited RMDs.
  • Prepare user-friendly financial reports for clients.
  • Attend client meetings for observational learning when appropriate.
  • Participate in discussions with external mutual fund managers.
  • Conduct research and assist with various miscellaneous projects.

Investment Responsibilities:

  • Gather information from call reports and previous plans, ensuring all necessary data is collected from clients.
  • Generate the corporate bond buy list on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and update the equity summary holding document.
  • Assist wealth advisors in preparing materials for Strategic Asset Allocation Committee meetings.
  • Support the Market Charts Committee in compiling investment and economic data for client meetings.
  • Participate in weekly investment meetings and other departmental gatherings for learning purposes.
  • Summarize and distribute weekly investment meeting recap reports to advisory teams.
  • Research and evaluate Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) investments.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, or another applicable business discipline.
  • Proficient in technology solutions, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar, eMoney, or similar wealth management systems is advantageous.
