Position Overview

The Housing Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of housing services. Under the guidance of the team lead, this position involves conducting thorough quality assurance reviews of transactions handled by the Leasing Coordinator while managing a portfolio of clients. The Coordinator may also be tasked with special initiatives aimed at achieving departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct quality control assessments of completed transactions and collaborate with team members to devise corrective action plans for any identified performance gaps.
  • Engage with applicants, participants, landlords, and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner, addressing inquiries and providing necessary assistance.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely communication regarding program transactions.
  • Utilize housing software to enter data and monitor the quality of data entry, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Stay informed about new trends and best practices in property management and housing services.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in public housing or housing assistance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of HUD policies and regulations, as well as principles of assisted housing management.

Skills Required

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software and specialized housing management applications.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and maintain positive working relationships.

Licensure and Certification

Certification in EIV Security and User Training, as well as HCV Specialist certification, is required within the first year of employment.
