As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the dignity and well-being of our consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support and services to consumers in a respectful and dignified manner, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, and life skills.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up, as well as promoting healthy dietary practices and wellness.
- Transport consumers and staff safely and efficiently, utilizing COMHAR vehicles.
- Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings and quality improvement programs.
- Complete daily progress notes and documentation, as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of consumer records and information.
- Report any incidents, crises, or unusual events to the Site Manager.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current PA Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Three months of experience in an IDD residential facility or related environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of consumer records and information.
- Able to acquire working knowledge of COMHAR policies and regulations.
- Attention to detail to ensure safety for consumers and staff.
- Able to work well with individuals with varying emotional and cognitive challenges.
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities.
