About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering team at Catapult. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Studio Leader, clients, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Maintain profitability goals for projects, tracking and monitoring utilization rates and labor summaries.
  • Coordinate scope and pricing changes with clients and communicate information to the Studio Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional requirements and interface with clients, other discipline managers, and local, state, and federal review staff.
  • Provide clear, effective, and constant communications with clients and team members.
  • Coordinate drawings with Architects and other consultants, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Supervise Construction Observation and Administration related duties, including meetings, site visits, response to RFIs, and review of shop drawings.
  • Develop solutions for field issues and provide on-site visits to inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with design documents, building and safety codes, or other regulations.
  • Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiate with others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the civil engineering industry with civil site design and engineering experience required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, required.
  • Advanced knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, theories, and methods required to plan, design, and engineer site and land development projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Advanced understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of software used in engineering design and plan production, including Bluebeam and Civil 3D.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and other related software utilized in the civil engineering industry.
  • Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to other office locations may be required, with travel distances up to 200 miles one way. Most travel will be within a 25-50-mile radius, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
