Job SummaryOur Fab 9 Team in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our CMP Manufacturing Engineering organization.
The selected individual will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving 200mm semiconductor equipment, with a focus on process formulation, method development, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards.
- Create, analyze, and review technical charts to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex, challenging problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational goals and deliver results.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for related processes.
- Understand product development requirements and qualify processes to meet those needs.
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs) to enhance process performance, cost, throughput, and yield.
- Mentor engineers and process technicians to develop talent within the organization.
- Effectively time manage and prioritize projects independently.
- Lead projects independently and deliver results on committed dates.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal, and external partners.
Fluency in English Language - written and verbal.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of semiconductor/silicon processing.
Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Prior experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
Prior experience working as an engineer in semiconductor manufacturing.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, and internal and external partners.
Project management skills, including innovation and execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
