Master Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Counselor to join our team at Bon Secours Community Hospital. As a key member of our chemical dependency department, you will be responsible for coordinating treatment for patients on assigned caseloads.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychosocial evaluations and psychoeducational groups to support patient recovery.
- Participate in formulating patient treatment plans in conjunction with other team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Screen prospective admissions and provide individual, couple, family, and group clinical treatment as required.
- Work collaboratively with patients and families to establish and review treatment plans and goals.
- Manage emergencies and adjust work plans as needed.
- Provide education on substance abuse disorders to patients and families.
- Make referrals to adult protective services or child protective services as necessary.
- Master's degree in a Human Services field.
- NYS Licensure in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or Limited Permit).
- Minimum 1 year experience in chemical dependency preferred.
