Pace Center for Girls is seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing prevention services to girls, including social emotional support, intensive care management, crisis counseling, and psycho-educational groups.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and address the needs and strengths of girls through holistic assessment, goal setting, and care planning.
- Provide bi-weekly counseling services to girls using guidance, support, collaboration, skill acquisition, and psycho-educational services.
- Develop and implement psycho-educational groups that are girl-centered, focusing on social-emotional and life skill development.
- Collaborate with the academic team to ensure holistic, cohesive care.
- Participate in care review meetings and provide education to the care planning team using a multidisciplinary framework.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum three years prior experience in counseling or a related field.
- Excellent individual, group, and family counseling and crisis management skills.
- Knowledge of case management practices and laws relating to children and families.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and in a multidisciplinary team.
