Your Responsibilities:

Conduct assigned system commissioning utilizing Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Diagnose and rectify basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

Respond to basic warranty inquiries. Deliver exceptional service to our clients to address building inefficiencies and resolve service-related concerns. As a trusted partner, you will provide solutions and outcomes during service visits.


How You Will Achieve This:
  • Load software for system-level controllers.
  • Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and complete all necessary commissioning documentation.
  • Keep management and relevant contractors or customers updated on job progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate with contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and participate in required safety training.
  • Maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operations, including upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What We Seek:

Required qualifications include a vocational school program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, along with three years of industry experience, or 3+ years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems within the HVAC sector.

Essential knowledge encompasses HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and installation and servicing techniques for peripheral equipment.

Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally to customers and external contacts.

Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Leadership skills to support Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on-site.

Proficiency in PC operations and the capability to program HVAC-related software is required.
