Position Summary: The Oracle Utilities Developer serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Oracle Utilities billing component v1.6.x.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strong SME on Oracle Utilities billing component v1.6.x.
  • Analyze and debug customization code written in Rules Lang.
  • Implement enhancements to existing functionalities.
  • Possess moderate to high exposure to retail or wholesale utility energy billing, with a solid understanding of major billing determinants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience.
  • Expertise in Oracle Utilities Billing Component v1.6.x.
  • Proficient in Linux Shell Scripting.
  • Advanced skills in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • Pro*C programming experience at an advanced level.
  • Expertise in Meter Data Management (MDM) using ITRON IEE client.
  • 6+ years of experience in a technical support role within retail or wholesale power billing.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and execute requirements.
  • Familiarity with DOS scripts and batch processing.
  • Moderate experience with Access VBA macros.
  • Proficiency in Perl and/or Power Shell scripting is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective team collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to adhering to rules and standards.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations related to financial transactions and reporting.

Work Environment:

  • Remote position with required working hours from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time zone.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary for company meetings and client engagements.
