Position Summary: The Oracle Utilities Developer serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Oracle Utilities billing component v1.6.x. The role involves:
- Expertise in Oracle Utilities billing component v1.6.x
- Analyzing and debugging customization code written in Rules Lang.
- Enhancing existing functionalities.
- Possessing substantial exposure to retail or wholesale utility energy billing, with a solid understanding of major billing determinants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of professional experience
- Expertise in Oracle Utilities Billing Component v1.6.x
- Proficient in Linux Shell Scripting
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming skills
- Pro*C programming knowledge
- Expertise in Meter Data Management (MDM) using ITRON IEE client
- Over 6 years of experience in a technical support role related to retail or wholesale power billing
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and implement requirements
- Experience with DOS scripts and batch processing
- Moderate experience with Access VBA macros
- Proficiency in Perl and/or Power Shell scripting is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective teamwork capabilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with rules and standards
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations regarding financial transactions and reporting
Work Environment:
- Remote position with required working hours from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time zone
- Occasional travel may be necessary for company meetings and client engagements
