We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Support Specialist to join our team at Abacus Solutions Group (ASG). As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Implementation and Maintenance: Perform implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on our networking environment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaboration and Review: Assist with peer reviews on networking maintenance, projects, and initiatives to ensure alignment with company standards and best practices.
  • Security Posture Review: Identify and review security postures to peers and appropriate security teams to ensure the integrity of our network.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Assist with troubleshooting and resolve complex network problems to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain hardware such as routers, firewalls, wireless, and switches to ensure optimal network performance.
  • IT Property Management: Maintain all IT property management and accountability in accordance with the performance work statement and standard operating procedures.
  • Network Equipment Maintenance: Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment, including switches, routers, and WAPS.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience in network engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and written and verbal communication skills using the English language.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Information Technology preferred.
Security Qualifications
  • Security Clearance: No security clearance required; Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
  • Background Investigation: Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation.
