Job Title: Chief Operating and Financial Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COFO) will play a pivotal role in driving the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) towards continued growth and success. This position will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment to achieve improved operating capacity, strong financial results, and expanded demand for PNCB's services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor and confidant to the CEO, working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth and innovation.
  • Operations Management: Lead the development and implementation of operational priorities, ensuring the creation of office policies, systems, procedures, and personnel training to increase office efficiencies and staff performance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, receivables, payables, and corporate credit card accounts.
  • Human Resources: Attract, retain, develop, and engage strong diverse teams that execute PNCB's organizational priorities to achieve goals and deliver against key metrics.
  • Information Technology: Oversee the management of all IT systems, ensuring proper database systems, IT, operational controls, reporting mechanisms, and systems are in place to maximize organizational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in leadership, business operations, maintaining, growing, and diversifying an organization's revenue, identifying new, innovative sources of income, and driving sustainable growth.
  • A strong business acumen, with the ability to manage business operations in multiple domestic and international geographies with a diversified membership.
  • Experience in organizational financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, financial planning, audit compliance, and achieving financial goals.
  • An ability to drive the implementation of strategic and annual operating plans related to revenue growth and ensure the people, systems, and processes are coordinated, integrated, and aligned for optimal organizational performance.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and engage diverse and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, equity, inclusion, respect, empowerment, and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, MBA, CAE, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or ICE-CCP certification.
  • Experience in organizational development, change management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and proactively manage organizational risk.
Work Environment:

Hybrid work environment, with occasional travel required.
