Job Opportunity: Strategic Planning Consultant

The New York Climate Exchange is seeking a seasoned Strategic Planning Consultant to lead a strategic planning process that will guide the organization's first years of strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear and actionable strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals
  • Design and facilitate workshops and meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and build consensus
  • Support the leadership team in defining key strategic priorities and a path to achieve them
  • Provide guidance on best practices for nonprofit strategic planning, including fundraising strategy
  • Produce draft and final versions of the Strategic Plan deliverable and present it to the leadership team and board of directors

Requirements:

  • Experience in creating nonprofit strategic plans, particularly those implemented in collaboration with New York City Government Agencies
  • Proposed approach, including overall engagement strategy, key milestones, deliverables, and fee
  • Qualifications for firm and key staff, including details on key personnel who would lead the engagement
  • Confirmation of availability from November 2024 to March 2025, including several in-person meetings in NYC
