Key Responsibilities

As a Retirement Planning Advisor, you will join our expanding Empower Personal Wealth sales team, providing essential support to clients during pivotal life transitions. Your role will involve offering expert advice on various account options related to retirement savings, including 401(k) and IRA products. At Empower, we encourage you to take charge of your career trajectory. New Retirement Planning Advisors have the potential to advance to Senior Retirement Planning Advisor, enhancing your earning potential. The compensation structure comprises a base salary along with performance-based incentives, allowing for the possibility of a substantial income. The incentive component will be variable and linked to specific sales objectives established by Empower.

Deliver over-the-phone support during significant life events, such as initiating or concluding employment concerning their employer-sponsored retirement account Review available account options, including 401(k) and IRAs, to align with clients' retirement savings objectives Inform clients about specifics related to their retirement plans, comparing alternatives to best meet their savings goals Aim to strengthen the client relationship with Empower

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and professional experience At least 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in an inside sales environment Current FINRA licenses and/or the ability to successfully acquire FINRA 7 & 63 registrations within corporate timelines and complete FINRA fingerprinting upon hiring Self-motivated individual with the capacity to quickly and independently absorb new information Proven skills in sales, relationship management, and customer service Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to engage with clients, ask insightful questions, share ideas, and propose solutions

Distinguishing Factors

Prior experience in inbound and/or phone-based sales Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Quick adaptability to new systems, with prior experience in SalesForce being advantageous Solid understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services, and the qualified retirement plan landscape A growth-oriented mindset to achieve company and team sales targets
