Role of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):

The EMT's primary responsibility is to deliver essential medical care and transport patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. This role requires a foundational understanding of patient care and transportation, functioning as part of a cohesive EMS response team under medical supervision. EMTs utilize basic equipment typically found on ambulances and serve as a vital link between the scene and the healthcare system.

Program Overview:

Eligible candidates will be employed and compensated at a training wage while attending a reputable training program. This intensive ten-week course prepares participants to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) - EMT Examination. AMR Corp. covers all associated costs, including books, tuition, fees, and uniforms. Upon successful completion of the program and certification, participants will transition to an EMT role with an increased compensation rate.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Required immunizations
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background checks, drug testing, and physical agility assessments
Post-Course Opportunities:

After completing the course, participants will be eligible to take the NREMT written and skills tests, register with the relevant emergency medical agency, and obtain the necessary certifications. A commitment to work with AMR Corp. for a minimum of one year is required.

Following state EMT-B certification, employees will be assigned to full-time shifts and complete new employee training.
