Shift: Night shifts, 7 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts), 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Contract Duration: 8 weeks

Requirements:
  • Valid California RN License
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current BLS certification

Role Overview:

Emergency room travel nurses play a critical role in the healthcare system, working on the front lines to provide immediate care to patients. These positions require candidates who can thrive in high-pressure environments. Responsibilities include assessing patients upon arrival, performing triage, and effectively communicating findings to physicians. Travel ER nurses assist in patient treatment, provide prescription information to patients and their families, and must be knowledgeable about facility and governmental policies regarding patient care, transfers, and discharges. Educating patients and their families about ongoing treatment at home is also a vital part of the role.
