Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
    • Clean and sanitize therapy equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
    • Maintain a well-organized work area by performing routine cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and returning equipment to its proper location.
    • Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
    • Assist with ordering and putting away supplies.
    • Set up equipment and treatment areas for patients.
    • Participate in direct or indirect patient care activities under the guidance of a licensed professional.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned, such as mentoring volunteers and interns, conducting audits, and maintaining various logs.
  • Program and Professional Development
    • Facilitate a smooth and efficient department functioning.
    • Participate in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and hospital meetings.
    • Contribute to performance improvement activities.
    • Conduct all aspects of the job in an ethical manner, upholding the hospital's commitment to ethical behavior.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with people.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work well with all customers and co-workers at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate a cooperative, courteous, and dependable work performance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
